The f-stop doesn’t change, so the result is a nice, fast 157mm f/2.8 tele that’s great for stage ... An interesting feature found on this version was its minimum aperture which was being designed to stopped down at f/32 instead of f/22 as compared to earlier pre-'70 versions (strangely, it was reverted back to f/22 on the Ai-Spec Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 introduced later in 1977).
